"He wants to get even closer...."

Summary

Mike Afton was the first child of the Afton family. A kid who started like all kids are, wild and free and rambunctious. He was a ball of energy which often made him a headache for people who didn't know any better. That was until he got a little older and more aware.

Mike is the defensive line for his middle school football team. He's a big kid and he tackles hard which made a lot of his classmates think he was intimidating coupled with his attitude. Those who could match his stature found him an easy target to pick at because his dad was the talk of the town and he hated it. On weekends and school days skipped he was always seen palling around with his group of bullies. Another thing he was teased for: hanging around a bunch of girls. They hung out with him because Mike had this funny thing of enjoying doing stupid things for a laugh. Failed skateboard tricks and jumping off roofs and playing with glass had these other three kids in stitches and sticking around to see if he would do it again. He was known for coming home with black eyes, bloody noses, and broken fingers and was met with swift grounding regardless if it was his fault or not.

When he was home he was always picking and proding at his siblings. His sister was too girly, his brother was a sissy stuck-up crybaby and yet they both got attention. All Mike wanted to do was lash out and take from them because he had to learn the hard way life isn't fair and so should they. Chris always got the worst of it because they were closer in age. They often got into physical fist fights with Mike always the one to blame. He took avantage of the fact that Chris got so angry to tears at everything and scared easily. Sometimes he would even make the family dog jump at him just to scratch him up. Mike could never understand what he wants is for someone to have it worse than him. To feel small like he did.

He could never explain why he wanted Chris to regret being alive. Even when Michael sat in the front seat of his dad's car as they were driving away from Fredbear's after just having hospitalized his only brother. He never found the words even after he passed.
