Summary
Samuel is the other side of the coin to the main character of this story. The narrative has refused to acknowledge him as a character and remains cast aside by the characters around him. A man locked in his apartment like a cage, toiling away at his work and scrutinizing anyone he comes across. Samuel's tough and thick skinned. A quiet man with a hard stare that never seems to ease up. You wouldn't be entirely wrong to assume he was mad at you for some reason or another. He copes through his vices of smoking and drinking picked up from his respective parents. He's often very critical and hard on himself. Pushing down his own feelings in focus on the big picture, he's a man that finds comfort in the facts. He was always sort of off but ever since that fire and Michael— the last closest thing he had to a friend— died for real, things went downhill fast for Samuel.
Samuel works as a private detective. He's putting his crimiology degree he never planned to use for anything real to good use. It's his best shot at keeping an eye on things at a safe distance. He always had a good ear for listening and a good mind for remembering what he's been told. He's very familiar with the people from his past that are still around. Susie's mother, Ms. Stone, often calls him to tell her daughter's story. He keeps tabs on all of this of course. A drawer in his filing cabinet is filled with newspapers and missing persons reports from those times. Of course Samuel has a real job to be doing, begrudgingly. A certain strange detective from out of town has been seen milling about in his spots. Asking questions where he shouldn't.... Samuel doesn't like him.
Always seeming to be missing his other half and has his mind somewhere else in the past. He tends to scribble his thoughts on his notepad. From an outside perspective it would look like nonsese. Random snipits of dreams or song lyrics he remembered or tally marks for how many cigarettes he smoked today. Writing has always been something of a coping method for him even if he would never accept it as that. Recently though, he's started compiling some other memories.
TRIVIA
- Favorite Animatronic: None.
- Average apple enjoyer. Green ones specifically. He was never told how to eat them normally so he eats the whole thing, core included.
- His ears are still pierced but he rarely puts his earrings in. Sometimes he does it out of accidental habit.
- He can't help but flinch at thunderstorms.
- Yes he still has Theodore. He keeps him safe in tucked away places like how he used to hide him from Henry. Old habits die hard. Sometimes Samuel takes him out and pets his fur or squeezes his paw hand when he's stressed. Which is why Theodore is left in odd places around the house before being quickly tucked away again. Nobody actually knows Samuel has kept him though really. He at the same time of loving Theodore and seeing him as a comfort object feels that people may find it childish he's keeping a toy. Thus he never speaks about him. Not like he has anyone to bring him up to.
- Delights in straight black coffee.
